TET Solutions Joins AIEduLead, a New €975,000 Erasmus+ Project on Ethical AI in Higher Education

Amman, September 2026: TET Solutions is pleased to announce its participation as a full partner in AIEduLead, a new project selected for funding under the European Union's Erasmus+ programme, Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), Strand 2.

Running for 36 months, the project brings together twelve partner organisations from six countries to strengthen how universities across the Euro-Mediterranean region prepare their leaders and teaching staff for a world reshaped by artificial intelligence. It is coordinated by the University of Kairouan in Tunisia, with a total budget of 975,390.60 €, of which 780,312.48 € is contributed by the European Union.

The project's full title: “Supporting Professional Competences in Higher Education through Ethical and Responsible AI-related Components across Euro-Mediterranean Partnerships” signals its central concern: not AI adoption for its own sake, but the professional competences and governance frameworks that allow institutions to use AI well.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia participates as an associated partner, ensuring the project's results connect to national policy.

The challenge

Artificial intelligence is already entering higher education across Tunisia, Morocco and Jordan, but the project's needs analysis found that this is happening in a fragmented, informal and insufficiently governed way. Institutions differ widely in digital maturity, few have institution-wide roadmaps for integrating AI into teaching, research and administration, and most academic staff have had little formal training in evaluating or deploying AI tools responsibly. Clear institutional policies on academic integrity and algorithmic bias are largely absent.

AIEduLead addresses these gaps at three levels at once, individual competences, institutional governance, and regional cooperation, aligning with the EU's Digital Education Action Plan 2021–2027, the AI Act, and the European Skills Agenda, all of which call for a human-centric and trustworthy approach to AI.

How the work is organised

The project runs through five interlinked work packages, with evaluation and feedback operating across all of them:

WP1 — Project management, quality assurance and coordination (M1–M36), led by the University of Kairouan, providing governance, monitoring and risk management throughout.

WP2 — Baseline study and needs analysis (M1–M6), establishing the evidence base on institutional AI readiness, staff competences and policy gaps in partner universities.

WP3 — Framework and modular training design (M4–M14), developing a Euro-Mediterranean AI competence framework, modular training programmes, and guidelines on AI governance and ethics.

WP4 — Capacity building, piloting and institutional implementation (M10–M30), delivering a train-the-trainer programme, pilot training sessions in partner institutions, and institutional AI action plans.

WP5 — Dissemination, exploitation and sustainability (M6–M36), ensuring the results reach policymakers and stakeholders and continue beyond the project's lifetime.

TET's role: technical lead for WP5

TET Solutions joins the consortium as its digital and technical implementation partner, serving as Technical Lead within WP5.

Our responsibility is the digital backbone of the project. TET will develop and maintain the online hub and digital infrastructure of the Euro-Mediterranean AI Education Network, and will deliver the digitalisation of the project's micro-credentials — the mechanism through which participating staff will have their newly acquired competences formally recognised. In practice this means platform development, digital credentialisation and online learning systems, together with the technical support that keeps the project's blended activities workable across partners with very different levels of infrastructure.
